The Flight Safety Foundation’s Aviation Safety Network (ASN) provides up-to-date, complete and reliable authoritative information on airliner accidents and safety issues.
ASN consists of three accident/incident databases:
The ASN accident database is updated daily and contains descriptions of over 23,000 airliner (aircraft originally certified to carry 12 or more passengers), military transport category aircraft, and corporate jet aircraft accidents dating back to 1919. The information is primarily derived from official governmental agencies, such as air accident investigation boards and civil aviation authorities.
The ASN Wikibase is updated regularly by a large user community and contains descriptions of more than 258,000 accidents involving light aircraft, military aircraft, helicopters, gyroplanes, gliders, hot air balloons and UAVs, as well as the accidents contained in the ASN accident database.
The ASN Drone database is updated at least four times a year and contains reports of over 15,000 unmanned aircraft or drone sightings from pilots and reported airprox occurrences. The information is primarily derived from official governmental agencies, such as air accident investigation boards and civil aviation authorities.
